Rohde & Associates provided the design services and construction administration that transformed a formerly tired restaurant into what is now the exciting Pangaea Restaurant, located on 6th avenue, just south of the Town Square Park in Anchorage, Alaska. The design concept preserved the existing main structure and all of the storefront glazing that was found to be in serviceable condition from the original building, and added a fully automatic sprinkler system throughout both floor of the existing building. Otherwise, the entire remainder of the first floor of the building was replaced with modern and efficient finishes and equipment. Now capable of comfortably seating 224 patrons, this contemporarily designed restaurant features an efficiently designed commercial kitchen coupled with an intuitive, spacious dining.
