Rohde & Associates provided the construction documents and support services to E/P Roofing for the removal and re-roof of the existing Department of Transportation & Public Facilities Materials Headquarters Building in Anchorage, Alaska. The design portion of the project was divided into two phases. The first phase was investigative in nature and determined the best remedy for the issues associated with the roof by evaluating the structural integrity, diaphragm effectiveness and adequacy of supporting structure. The second phase was more prescriptive in nature and included the development of the construction documents to replace the existing roof and included specifications for the project that conform to current building codes and local amendments.
